Hien began her career as a recording artist and songwriter in 2009. Since then, she has gained vast experience in the music industry including television, theatre, and touring.

Hien was introduced to Audio Design in 2015 when she enrolled in Berklee College of Music.

Utilizing Audio Design to express her art through sounds and textures inspired her to pursue it as a career. Hien's first attempt at designing sound for visuals began in Absynth, which she created all the sounds with for a movie clip. Hien soon moved into foley work, creating and recording foley sounds in her own kitchen, then using them in a sound replacement project featuring images from Pixar's "Ratatouille”. Having a deep love for animation, Hien selected a scene from Disney's “Fantasia” and re-imagined it with her own sounds and music for her capstone project.

In 2017, Hien was selected to participate in a Film Practicum course. Here she was able to work with film composers and directors, deepening her commitment and love for great collaborations. Hien believes in working as a team with her fellow artists through art, innovation, and the world of sounds.
